Pakistan and Japan have agreed to expand their economic ties.

The agreement was reached during the 7th Japan-Pakistan High-Level Economic Policy Dialogue, which was held virtually in Islamabad.

Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs Noor Ahmed led the Pakistani mission, while Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki led the Japanese delegation.

Both sides discussed the present state of bilateral economic relations and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding mutually beneficial economic cooperation in a variety of areas.

Japan saw Pakistan’s geoeconomic position as an appealing option for Japanese investment due to its connectivity potential and role as a regional transit trade hub.
