GOVT INCREASES THE PETROL PRICE BY RS 3 PER LITRE

According to News, the federal government increased the price of petroleum goods by up to Rs3 per litre on Saturday.

The federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs3.01 per litre, high-speed diesel by Rs3 per litre, and light diesel by Rs3.33 per litre, according to a notification released by the finance ministry.

Following the hike, the current price of petrol is Rs147.83 per litre, with HSD at Rs144.62. Kerosine oil’s price climbed from Rs113.48 to Rs116.48, while light diesel oil’s price jumped from Rs111.06 to Rs114.54.

The revised prices will be in force for the next 15 days starting at midnight on Saturday, January 16.

According to the sources, the increase in petroleum product prices was calculated in light of growing global oil costs.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) proposed a Rs5.15 per litre rise in petrol prices and a Rs5.65 per litre increase in high-speed diesel (HSD) prices. The price of light-speed diesel was planned to be increased by Rs4 per litre (LSD).
The federal government increased the price of fuel, gasoline, and other items by as much as Rs4.15 per litre on December 31.

The federal government has raised the price of petrol by Rs4 per litre, high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs4, kerosene by Rs3.95, and light diesel oil by Rs4.15 per litre.
