In past 6 years, Karachi has Dropped from 6th to 94th on World Crime Index.

According to a notification published on Friday by Sindh IGP, the city’s ranking has improved to 94 on the International Crime Index.

In 2014, Karachi was placed 6th out of 374 cities in the world, rising to 71 in 2018 and 71 at the end of 2019.

It increased to 88 in June 2020, and it is now at 94 on the index as of June 20, 2021. This shift has been attributed to enhanced policing and anti-crime measures, with a spokeswoman for the Sindh police chief claiming that the peace and security situation in Sindh, particularly in Karachi, had improved while various crimes had fallen dramatically.
